Environmental Leadership Summit

Date:

09/27/25

The Environmental Leadership Summit is organized by the Environmental Center of San Diego. It is an all-day conference for leaders of environmental organizations and anyone engaged in regional environmental issues. The focus is “Environmental Leadership in the Age of Uncertainty”. It will include a series of panel discussions on confronting fire in a changing world and our creeks, lagoons, and coast in a changing climate. The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Kate Huckelbridge, Executive Director of the California Coastal Commission.

SD350’s Masada Disenhouse is organizing and moderating a panel on “Cross-Sector Collaboration for the Win” starting at 1 pm.

More info on the panel: In the current political climate, achieving equitable, lasting solutions to the intertwined crises San Diego faces – including climate change, housing and affordability for working families – will require unprecedented collaboration and a collective vision among environmentalists, affordable housing advocates, and labor. Join us for a panel to look at what’s working now, what’s not, and a solutions-oriented discussion to identify shared values and actionable approaches. Expect frank talk, differences of opinion, and challenges to your perspectives.

Confirmed Panelists:

  • Kelly Lyndon (San Diego Building Electrification Coalition, City of San Diego Climate Advisory Board)
  • Cristina Marquez (Environmental Organizer, IBEW 569)
  • Bill Tippets (ecologist and conservation biologist)
