Main point = Context: What are the key metrics for Sustainability?

1. What three questions or challenges would you like to address from your organization's perspective?
   • What kind of comparisons can we make between energy and water use by jurisdiction in San Diego County?
      
   • Given the goals for reduced energy consumption set up in SANDASG's Regional Energy Strategy and the climate goals set out in AB 32, and the new per capita consumption reduction goals set in SBX7, what kind of integrated policy actions can we recommend to get there?
      
   • What are the equity and health implications of such recommendations?  How do we take those into account?
      
2. What's at stake if we (our community) don't make progress on these issues?
   • Possibility of water and/or energy shortages
      
   • Need for more expensive/extensive projects which would translate to more expensive rates for both energy and water
      
   • Preventable health and climate risks
      
3. What would a breakthrough look like for you and your organization? For our community?
   • A comprehensive integrated platform for local and region-wide energy and water policies for the next 20-30 years.
