Building Resilient Water System
With Subject Matter Expert - Cary Lowe
A clean and potable water supply is vital to human existence. Natural challenges varying from floods, population change, and droughts are challenging our water supply. Waste water services are threatened by contamination and aging infrastructure. It is up to us to understand that sustainability needs to improve these systems. Additionally, we need to create resilient water systems that will prepare us for unexpected water challenges such as water rationing, flooding during El Niño, and increase in wildfires due to insufficient rains. We will address the water sector inter-dependencies and the progress San Diego is making to build a resilient water system.
