Safe & Healthy California Resolution Vote at SD Council Environment Committee

Youth v. Oil is advocating for the San Diego City Council to pass a resolution supporting the Campaign for a Safe and Health California and keeping SB1137, the state law passed in 2022 to prohibit new or modified oil and gas wells within 3,200 feet of homes, schools, daycare centers, parks, healthcare facilities, and businesses. 

This resolution is on the docket at the San Diego City Council Environment Committee meeting. Please help ensure the resolution passes and moves on to the full City Council.

SanDiego350 will be hosting a Climate Chat on Climate Grief on Friday, November 17th @ 5:30-7:00pm.

“Everybody is feeling the grief, they are just in different stages” 

Our guest speaker Shawna Weaver, published her book Climate Grief: From Coping to Resilience and Action and will be helping us explore how climate change impacts our mental health and outline how we can thrive.
