Youth4Climate Indoor Rock Climbing Social

Join us for an afternoon of FREE indoor rock climbing at Mesa Rim Mission Valley! We will meet in the front lobby. We only have 15 spots available so this event is only open to current and new youth members of Youth4Climate and Youth v. Oil. Mesa Rim Mission Valley is a thirty minute walk from the Mission Valley Center Trolley Station on the green line (if you are riding transit, let us know and we will pick you up at the station!).

The fundraiser will feature inspiring youth speakers, youth climate leadership awards, great food, music and other activities. This will be an in-person outdoor event at a home in La Jolla. Resist Trump Flash Banner Action

With all the negative actions that the Trump administration has been taking on climate and environmental policy, we must continue to push-back against Trump and broadcast our concern to the public.  So the Raise the Alarm Team is hosting a number of Flash Banner Actions (AKA Banner Drops!!) across major arteries in North County, Central SD, and South Bay. We start in North County–won’t you join us?

Prop 50 Door knocking with the Labor Council

Join this event to door knock (canvass) San Diegans about Prop 50 and the upcoming special election. Help block election rigging and level the playing field for climate action and democracy.

We’ll be joining the San Diego and Imperial County Labor Council, and they will have a knock list, script and door hangers to leave with voters. You’ll need your smart phone (you’ll have to download the PDI Mobile app on site).

Polluters Pay Youth Walkout

On October 24th, young people across California will host school walkouts to say: “Youth Demand Climate Action!” and pressure legislators to support the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund, a California bill that would make the largest fossil fuel polluters pay for the climate damages they’ve caused.

Rally Against Environmental Injustice

Join SanDiego350 and our allies at the Environmental Health Coalition to demonstrate against a biodiesel transfer station planned in the Port of San Diego, just ⅓ mile from Kimball Elementary. This project would bring 70+ tanker trucks rolling into National City 24/7. 

Areas near the port, like National City, already experience horrible pollution (nearly the worst in the county), with elevated levels of respiratory diseases. We want to help EHC and the neighboring communities stop this project!

Environmental Leadership Summit

The Environmental Leadership Summit is organized by the Environmental Center of San Diego. It is an all-day conference for leaders of environmental organizations and anyone engaged in regional environmental issues. The focus is “Environmental Leadership in the Age of Uncertainty”. It will include a series of panel discussions on confronting fire in a changing world and our creeks, lagoons, and coast in a changing climate. The Keynote Speaker is Dr.
